Electrocatalytic Activities of Ni-P-La electrode for hydrogen evolution reaction in alkaline solution by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy

چکیده
Ni–P–La electrodes were obtained by electrodeposition. the new electrode have been characterized by means of microstructural and electrochemical techniques in view of theirpossible applications as electrocatalytic materials for hydrogen evolution reaction. The morphology and microstructure were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive analysis of X-ray (EDAX) and the electrochemical efficiency of the newelectrodes has been studied on the basis of electrochemical data obtained from steady-state polarization curves, Tafel and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in 1 M NaOH solution at 298 K. The results were compared with Ni commercial electrode. Based on these investigations, the embedded La(oxide) particles increase the electro-catalytic activity in hydrogen evolution reaction with respect to the Ni-P electrode. Results are presented to show the Ni–P–La electrodes were active for HER.کلیدواژه ها
