چکیده
Dynamic assessment (DA), as an offshoot of Vygotsky’s (1987)sociocultural perspective, has been proposed to enable learners toperform beyond their current level of functioning by emphasizing onthe diagnostic quality of mediation in detecting learners’ fullydeveloped abilities and instructional effect of mediation on developinglearners’ emerging capabilities (Poehner,2008). With the goal ofmoving learners toward their zone of proximal development (ZPD),human-computer collaboration attempts to offer learners both humanand electronic mediations in a semi-computerized dynamic assessmentcontext of instruction. This study has decided to scrutinize a group ofL2 learners reading comprehension modification with the use of bothelectronic and human prompts in an innovative context of humancomputer collaboration based upon integration of computerizeddynamic assessment and group dynamic assessment. As the mediationalcomponents of the study, on the one hand interventionist DA (Lantolfand Poehner, 2004) was employed to program a software to presentimplicit to explicit predetermined prompts during four readingcomprehension passages; on the other hand, interactionist format of DA(Lantolf and Poehner, 2004) was used by the mediator to measure andexpand a group of learners’ ZPD. After presenting the text on the board,the mediator (teacher) began a series of interactions with the group tofind out the group’s ZPD level. When the students failed to reach thecorrect answer in each text, the computer offered a range of textual andvisual mediations to assist him/her as the primary interactant and, then,the group as the secondary interactants. The results indicated the ZPDenhancement of the learners in the context of computerized groupdynamic assessment (C-GDA).کلیدواژه ها
