چکیده

In this paper, poly(vinyl alcohol)/ZnO composite nanofiber was prepared by the electrospinning method andits application for adsorption of Cu(II) from aqueous solution in a batch system is investigated. The effects of contacttime, initial concentration and temprature on adsorption of Cu(II) ions were examined. The kinetic data were analyzedby pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order and double-exponential kinetic models. The result showed the doubleexponentialkinetic model best described the adsorption of copper ions. Two isotherm models namely Freundlich andLangmuir were applied to describe the equilibrium data. Based on result, the experimental data followed well byLangmuir model.
