چکیده :
The journey of immigration is fraught with challenges, particularly regarding mental health. This study delves into the mental health experiences and coping strategies of Iranian immigrants from Tehran who have resettled in Canada, Australia, the UK, and various European countries. By employing a mixed-methods approach that integrates both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, the study provides a comprehensive understanding of the mental health landscape for these immigrants.
The research investigates the specific cultural stressors that Iranian immigrants face, such as discrimination, language barriers, and cultural dissonance, which significantly impact their mental well-being. Additionally, the study examines the obstacles these immigrants encounter in accessing mental health services, including systemic barriers, lack of culturally competent care, and limited availability of support resources.
The findings reveal a clear and significant correlation between the difficulties of cultural adaptation and the prevalence of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and stress, among the Iranian immigrant population. This underscores the urgent need for mental health care that is culturally sensitive and tailored to the unique needs of immigrant communities.
