چکیده

Propionibacterium is an anaerobic bacterial genus with the history of use in manufacturing of Swiss cheese and more recently value-added bioproducts. While the use of this strain as microbial cell factory for production of vitamin B۱۲ has gained a growing interest, the industrial application of the strain requires improved yield and productivity of the target product. Systems modeling and analysis of the metabolic network is now being widely leveraged to gain holistic insights into the metabolic features of the biotechnologically important strains and devising bioengineering and culture optimization strategies for economically viable bioprocesses development. In the present study, a high-quality genome-scale metabolic model of P. freudenreichii ssp. freudenreichii strain DSM ۲۰۲۷۱ is developed and validated. The model was then analyzed using the state-of-the-art systems biology methods to uncover the metabolic capabilities of this strain.
