Investigating Factors Leading to Users Satisfaction of Academic Websites

Academic websites are important sources of information for students, staff and other stakeholders who communicates with universities. Due to the importance of academic websites and the variety of users associated with these websites, all aspects of websites should be studied and the opinion of the users about the design and construction of these websites should be considered. In this research, a survey was conducted using a questionnaire. A sample of 200 users of Shiraz University website was selected to answer questions regarding different components of the mentioned website. The reliability of questions was confirmed. In order to analyze the data, factor analysis was applied. The results of analysis show that items of the questions were classified into 6 different factors and the importance of each of these factors were defined by each user. This research would assist academic institute by illustrating the factors which need more attention.
