چکیده

Wound healing is one of the problems of patients, so that improper healing can leave nasty scars on the patient s skin. The wound healing process involves four integrated and overlapping phases: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and tissue remodeling. The passing of these phases and wound healing require multiple growth factors and cellular communication. Nowadays, cell therapy with umbilical cord-derived cells such as Warton jelly Mesenchymal stem cells (WJMSCs) is used in tissue repair. Recently, the use of Decellularized Warton’s Jelly (DWJ) to create a matrix and scaffold for cell culture and wound healing has been considered. Warton’s Jelly (WJ) contains cytokines and growth factors such as Platelet-derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF), Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF)-1, Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), Interleukin (IL)-6 and IL8 that are involved in cells growth, proliferation and migration, angiogenesis and nerve tissue repair. In studies, DWJ has been used to create an environment containing extracellular matrix to differentiate cellular progenitors, WJMSCs culture, and create 3D scaffolds for tissue engineering. In addition, DWJ has been used to wound healing of mice. It improves wound healing, and cell proliferation and migration which may be related to growth factors and proteins found in WJ. DWJ can be used as a porous, bioactive and biocompatible scaffold for cell culture, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and improve wound healing applications.
