چکیده

In order to meet many of the needs of the population and provide housing, many new cities were created, which came into being to solve the demographic and economic problems of the country .In the township of Iran in 1364, the creation of new cities was unofficially and eventually passed in 1989. In these cities, there were numerous influences on success and failure. Meanwhile, the choice of the location of a new city is one of the most difficult spatial decision-making, which is itself in the field of decision making models called the land adaptation analysis with the type of use or optimal land allocation for each activity. Proper and proper location studies, in particular identification of effective indicators in the process of locating the new city, will have an effective role in sustainable urban development. Meanwhile, preserving the quality of environmental features is considered as a key factor in locating these cities. In this article, a review of the formation of new cities, the importance of locating new cities, the framework for locating and locating characteristics of new cities has been reviewed.
