چکیده

Physical activities within the job context is one of the crucial instruments to attain the psychological and physical health. Thus, the current study intends to investigate the effect of on-the-job Pilates exercise on job satisfaction Company and summited a model of physical activity program at work place. The study follows a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test method with a focus on control and experimental groups. The statistical population comprises of all female employees working at Urmia Electricity Distribution Company. The sample of the study was determined as 40 using purposeful non-random method. 20 subjects who showed enthusiasm to do the Pilates exercises and 20 subjects who did not take part in exercise doing sessions were assigned to experimental and control groups, respectively. The experimental group received 8 weeks of exercise doing sessions (3 sessions per week, 30 minutes per session) in Electricity Distribution Company gym while the control group did not receive any treatment. The data were collected from the pre-test and post-test procedures through the distribution of Minnesota Job Satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the one-variable covariance statistical test (ANCOVA). The results indicated that job satisfaction increased in the experimental group compared to the control group. According to the results obtained, one can conclude that on-the-job Pilates exercise as sport technology had an effect on job satisfaction of female employees at Urmia Electricity Distribution Company. It is therefore suggested that managers, supervisors, and organizations develop the psychological and physical health as well as the job satisfaction through providing the sports equipment as well as suitable sports spaces and offering Pilates exercise as a Sport Technology programs in the working context.
