چکیده

The main aim of this work is introducing a novel acidic catalyst for organic synthesis. For this idea, a novel protic acidic ionic liquid namely N,N,N ,N -tetramethylethylene-diaminium-N,N -disulfonic acid trifluoroacetate {[TMEDSA][TFA]2} has been prepared, and characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 19F NMR and mass spectra. Catalytic activity of the ionic liquid has been tested for useful organic reactions, i.e. the production of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols and 1-carbamatoalkyl-2-naphthols via the one- pot multi-component reaction of 2-naphthol with arylaldehydes and amides/alkyl carbamates under solvent- free conditions. The results showed generality and high effectiveness of the catalyst to promote the transformations.
