Magnetic nanoparticles are efficient, readily available, high-surface-area resulting in high catalyst loading capacity and outstanding stability heterogeneous supports orcatalysts. Among the various magnetic nanoparticles used as the core magnetic support, Fe3O4 nanoparticles are arguably the most extensively studied because of their simple synthesis, low coast, and relatively large magnetic susceptibility [1]. Heterocyclic compounds, especially nitrogen-containing heterocycles, have attracted profound attention in modern chemistry science because they play a key role in the fields of natural products, medicinal chemistry and materials chemistry. In recent times, a lot of attention has been focused on the synthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivatives, because they are well-known as Ca2+ channel blockers, and have emerged as an important class of drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases [2]. In continuation of our studies on magnetic nanocatalysts, herein, we investigated the synthesis of polyhydroquinolines in the presence of MNPS-DCC as a recyclable and green magnetic nanocatalyst under EtOH solvent at 80°C (scheme1).This method offers several advantages including high yield, short reaction time, simple work up procedure, ease of separation, and recyclability of the magnetic nanocatalyst without significant loss of their catalyst efficiency
