A novel design for performance improvement of the Photovoltaic/Thermal (PVT) systems :experimental results

چکیده

Nowadays, the use of PVT systems for the development and production of electricity has become widespread due to the use of solar energy in electric power generation. Inthis study. a new design for the PVT system has been proposed and constructed. so that the solar cells are placed directly onto the absorber plate. In this way, several thermal resistances existed in conventional systems have been eliminated and led to increase in thermal efficiency of systems. Based on the proposed method, PVT system with a 90W solar panel which is coimected to a 100 -liter tank was made up various tests have been done on it. Based on the experimental results. cooling the PVT system with the designed system increases the electrical efficiency of the system up to 2%. In addition to this, the effect of water cooling flow rate and inlet temperature on thennal and electrical efficiency were evaluated. Total efficiency of the PVT system increases up to 85% in 1000 W/mi radiation condition.
