چکیده

Introduction and Objectives:In Gram‐negative pathogens, multiple antibiotic resistance is common and many of the known resistance genes have been found in mobile gene cassettes. The purpose of this study was to investigate the presence of shv, tem and ctx genes, the frequency of Integron genes and antimicrobial susceptibility patterns among clinical isolates of Gram-negative bacilli in the children s hospital in Bandar-Abbas. Materials and Methods:sixty strains of gram-negative bacilliwere collected. Antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of isolates was identified by disk diffusion. The presence of three genes,96shv, tem and ctxwas detected by PCR. Multiplex-PCR was used to detect Integron genes (int I, and int II, intIII). Data was analyzed statistically by SPSS 20 software. Result:The number of cultures belonging to E. coli were 70 %, Klebsiella 13.3%, Psudomonas 10%, Enterobacter 3.3%, and Acinetobacter3.3%. The antibiogram test showed that 68.3%, 65%, 61.7%, 60%, 45%, 45%,26.7%, 23.3% and 20% of the bacteria were resistant to Sulfamethoxazole, Cefotaxime, Ceftriaxone,Ampicillin,Imipenem,Ceftazidime,Fosfomycin,Gentamycin,Ciprofloxacin and respectively. Of these 60 strains, 31 (51.7%) carried genes for ctx, 19(31.7%) tem, while only 6(10%) strains carried the shv gene. The frequency of intI gene and int IIgene was identified as 37(61.7%) and 16(26.7%), respectively and int III gene was not detected. Conclusion:Given that the tested strains were highly sensitive to Ciprofloxacin and based on some data about safety usage of this antibiotic in children, it is possible to consider Ciprofloxacin, as a drug of choice in therapy of children with UTI.
