خلاصه مقاله:
In this paper, the modelling and experimental works arepresented which were carried out at TU Delft on themanufacturing process of thermoset composites in generaland more specifically on Fibre Metal Laminates (FMLs).Modelling is based on a thermo-viscoelastic approachdeveloped for composites which have an orthotropicviscoelastic response. Indeed the curing stresses are alsoincorporated due to the matrix shrinkage and evolution ofthe stiffness. Thermal and viscoelastic responses of thepolymeric part are experimentally characterised. A userdefined material model is added to ANSYS able to analysethe orthotropic thermo-viscoelastic behaviour. Thecharacterisation process and the models are applied toGLARE and the residual stresses and curvature of nonsymmetricpanels are calculated. Comparison to themeasured curvature of manufactured laminates, shows theaccuracy of the modelling and the materialcharacterisations.
