چکیده

Mechanical alloying has been used to produce Tissis based nanocomposites with different methods of reinforcement distribution. In-Situ and Ex-Situ techniques were used to distribute Al2O, particles in the matrix. To evaluate the bulk characteristics of these nanocomposites, uniaxial cold press and sintering at 1400°C for 90 min were carried out on the mechanically alloyed powders. The structural changes and characterization of powder particles and sintered samples were studied by X-Ray difraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It was found that sintering process led to consolidated compounds with suitable density with nanometric grains. The results showed that in-situ technique, produced Tissis-15Wt.% Al2O3 nanocomposite with good distribution of Al2O3 nanoparticles in the matrix and better properties Such as hardness and fracture toughness. Macrohardness, elastic modulus and fracture toughness of in-situ produced samples were about 1060HV,238 GPa and 5.5 MPam , respectively.
