چکیده

Synthesis and characterization of a dye based on naphthalimide and Self-colored PET have been described, for this purpose Acenaphthene used as first material and after four steps such as nitration, oxidation,imidation and reduction, 4-amino-N-propanoic acid-1,8-naphthalimide as a fluorescent dye was synthesized.After that the synthesized dye was added to the reactor during the synthesizing of PET. Therefore, the novel PET based on 4-amino-N-propanoic acid-1,8-naphthalimide with fluorescent properties was synthesized.FTIR and 1HNMR spectra indicated that, the dye and self-colored PET were synthesized. The maximum fluorescent intensity of dye and self-colored polymer were obtained at 523nm and 519nm, respectively. Also,the intrinsic viscosity of synthesized PET was about 0.5 dl/g and molecular weight of polymer was around 35000 (g/mol)
