چکیده

Failure of soil and rock masses during tunnel excavation is one of the major challenges during tunnel construction. Nowadays, there are various methods and systems maintenance use to prevent the emergence of such events. But what happens in the majority of tunnel excavation projects is mainly due to lack of knowledge about soil layers. Failure of Sadra tunnel in Shiraz, Iran, is one of the challenges. In this paper, we aim to investigate the possibility of failure according to the existing geological and layering of soil. It's will be discussed for choose one of the ways to escape of loss tunnel like re-excavation work.
