چکیده

One of the main methods for removing heavy metals from wastewater is the use of a surface adsorption process. In this study, polypyrrole and its nanocomposites were successfully synthesized by chemical polymerization of pyrrole by using ferric chloride as an oxidant in the presence of Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) as an surfactant and iron oxide (Fe2O3) nanoparticles in aqueous solution. The products were investigated in terms of morphology, chemical structure and crystalline nature with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD). The results indicate that properties of products are dependent on concentration of surfactant.
