چکیده

This research was undertaken to analyze climate change impacts on ecological water demand and ground water extraction of arid (Haloxylon) forests on Yazd-Ardakan aquifer of Iran. A2 and B2 emission scenarios of HadCM3 circulation Model were used to predict future climate changes in the study area using LARS-WG software. Future Haloxylon forest pressures on the aquifer were modeled through climate changes impacts on water requirements of these artificial forest areas. To achieve this, first using Google Earth images, JMicroVision software and ground control points, the area was classified based on Haloxylon density. Then using predicted climatic parameters through CROPWAT 8.0 software, future evapotranspiration of Haloxylon forests was calculated. Considering suitable density of Haloxylon population and its actual density and actual evapotranspiration of this population, ground water extraction of these forests was determined in present and future climatic conditions. The results of this study are useful to obtain sustainable Haloylon forest management in Yazd-Ardakan plain
