In this study Cu-Cr based nanocomposite containing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were fabricated bymechanical alloying. Lattice parameter evolutions were evaluated by X-ray diffraction technique, and 40 hours millingtime was chosen as the best time for Cu-Cr solid solution formation. CNTs as the second reinforcement were milledwith Cu-Cr alloy up to 45 and 50 hours. Effect of CNTs on the microstructure of Cu-Cr was characterized by fieldemission scanning electron microscopy. It was found that the presence of carbon nanotubes was beneficial to decreaseof particle size. The average crystallite size of final nanocomposite was 40 nm.
