چکیده
Since the penetration of wind power in electric power system is increasing greatly, it is urgent to study the impact of wind power on the dynamic stability of electric power system. Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) wind turbines are widely utilized in large wind power plants. Research of dynamic behaviors of DFIG wind turbines is great important. This paper presents the impact of shunt connected FACTS devices (static var compensator (SVC) and static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) on the dynamic stability of power system connected to wind power plant includes DFIG. A wind farrm of total capacity 9MW is considered for the study. In this study a model for a simple electric power system with a large wind power plant is constructed. The stability assessment is made for a three phase short circuit with and without SVC and STATCOM controllers in the power network. The dynamic simulation results yield information on (A) the impact of faults on the performance of induction generators/wind turbines, (B) Transient rating of the SVC and STATCOM for enhancement of rotor speed stability of induction generators and rotor angle stability of synchronous generator. MATLAB is used for executing the dynamic simulations.کلیدواژه ها
