چکیده

In this study, the low cycle fatigue behavior of SS316 stainless steel is investigated experimentally and numerically under uniaxial cyclic loading at roomtemperature. The experimental tests were carried out by an INSTRON servo-hydraulic machine and ABAQUS software was considered for numerical simulation. Theratcheting strains were measured for various loading conditions in order to evaluate the impact of mean stress and stress amplitude on ratcheting behavior. Theexperimental and numerical results showed that the ratcheting strain increased with increasing mean stressand stress amplitude and. Moreover, the effect of stressamplitude on ratcheting behavior is more significant than the effects of mean stress. The numerical resultsshowed acceptable compatibility with experimental results in most cases
