چکیده

Contemporary architecture is the main result of the past architectural achievements and an introduction to the future architecture; hence it is necessary to be considered. Shifting from traditional architecture to contemporary architecture is so valuable in evaluating these developments. Based on the theoretical framework of research, these categories: 1- Sense the presence of four elements, 2- Work on the design and construction elements, 3- Audience impression ) have important roles in contemporary architecture. Research achievements state that these 12 items can be defined as the orientation of Iranian contemporary architecture: 1- Water, 2- Wind, 3- Earth, 4 - Fire, 5- Steel, 6- Glass, 7 - Concrete, 8- New materials, 9- Islamic identity, 10 - Native, 11- Traditional, 12 - Contemporary.
