چکیده

Technological advancements in recent decades, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI), have transformed the educational system, presenting new opportunities and challenges for teachers. This review study aimed to provide a comprehensive examination of the role of AI in empowering Iranian teachers and to identify related opportunities and challenges. The research was conducted using a systematic review method, analyzing studies published in recent years. The sources were selected from reputable databases, considering criteria such as relevance to the topic, scientific coherence, and the inclusion of reliable data. The findings indicated that AI has significant potential to enhance teaching and learning processes, reduce repetitive tasks, and support teachers’ professional development. Furthermore, by providing personalized and digital content, AI can help reduce educational inequalities and improve the quality of learning in underprivileged areas of Iran. However, the study also highlighted key barriers to the effective use of AI, including inadequate infrastructure, the absence of specialized training, and concerns related to ethical issues. The conclusions emphasized that with proper teacher and family education, the resolution of existing barriers, and the development of supportive policies, AI could play a meaningful role in empowering Iranian teachers and improving the educational system. Proper utilization of this technology offers a pathway to achieving educational equity and fostering sustainable progress in Iran’s education sector.
