Amelioration of Attitude Value in Iranian EFL learners By means of de Novel educational method

چکیده

The psychological factors have a pivotal role on language transferability, specially in foreign languages. The attitude of learners is closely related to their motivation in language learning. These two psychological indicators have a positive afficacy on improving foreign language learning among learners. The aim of this research was to use treatment (novel teaching method) among volunteers to improve the attitude of English language learners. This teaching method had ۷ continuous strategies which include; Demonstrating proper teaching behavior to the learners (I), Reducing learners’ communication apprehension (II), Reducing the fear of negative evaluation in learners (III), Reducing the fear of ۴۴ language testing in learners (IV), Addressing properly learners’ anxiety provoking beliefs and misconceptions (V), Helping students establish specific and realistic goals for learning English (VI), and Increasing students’ self-confidence (VII). In order to attitude value computing, the Language Attitude Survey (LAS) was accomplished among participant prior and after of treatment. The results illustrated that this method (treatment) boosted attitude value by ۳.۵%. Furthermore, ۶۶.۸% of the participants had an approximate average of ۹۴.۲% (pre-LAS) or ۹۶.۲% (post-LAS) in attitude value. Overall, the results of this research determined that the use of modern teaching methods can have a positive effect on the attitude of language learners to improve the quality of their learning.
