A STUDY ON CHLOROPHYCEAE OF THE ARTIFICIAL PONDS AND LAKES OF THE NATIONAL BOTANICAL GARDEN OF IRAN

چکیده
Five aquatic sites of National Botanical Garden of Iran monthly were sampled from December ۲۰۰۳ through November ۲۰۰۴. ۶۸ genera and species of ۱۰ families and ۶ orders of the planktonic Chlorophyceae were identified. Among the families Desmidaceae with ۲۲ genera and species showed the highest species richness. Scenedesmaceae (۱۵ species) and Oocystaceae (۱۴ species), Hydrodictyaceae (۷ species), Ulotrichaceae (۳ species), Zygnemataceae (۲ species), Volvocaceae (۲ species) and Cladophoraceae, Oedogoniaceae and Trentephliaceae each with ۱ species respectively presented in the studied sites. High population densities of species were observed in the warm months.کلیدواژه ها
