خلاصه مقاله:
Silver plate specimens with two different compositions have been exposed to the atmospheric gases H2S and SO2 in humidified air under carefully controlled laboratory conditions. Air with H2S or SO2 was passed through a circular tube which contains the specimens. Temperature and relative humidity of test condition was carefully controlled. After exposure, the corrosion product formed on the sample surfaces was analyzed with XRD thin layer(grazing). Tarnishing of specimens was measured by glossmeter. Factsage software used to simulating the corrosion condition and predicting the corrosion product composition. Resultsshow that adding Ge to sterling alloy decreases the corrosion rate and increases the tarnish resistance of specimens. Corrosion products shows difference of chemical reactions were happening during exposure. Adding Ge to sterling alloy decreasecorrosion rate and increase tarnish resitance of specimens
