چکیده

The invasion of non-native plant species is considered one of the most serious threats toecosystem biodiversity worldwide. These species, due to their high reproductive capacity, rapidgrowth, and excessive resource utilization, can rapidly increase their populations in newenvironments. Numerous international studies have shown that the introduction of these speciesinto sensitive ecosystems leads to significant changes in their structure and balance. Bycompeting for vital resources such as water, nutrients, and light, they pose a serious threat to thesurvival of native species. As a result of the invasion of these species, the biodiversity ofecosystems decreases, and the services provided by them are weakened. This has significanteconomic, social, and ecological consequences and has played a significant role in globalchanges. This research provides an overview of the detrimental effects of invasive plant specieson ecosystems. To this end, a wealth of valuable content has been collected through onlinesearches and library resources. Based on the case studies mentioned in this preliminary review,invasive species exert excessive pressure on native species by overusing vital ecosystemresources such as water, nutrients, and light. Furthermore, ecosystem structure changes, leadingto a reduction in biodiversity and a decline in the services provided by the ecosystem. Theeconomic and social consequences are also discussed. Finally, control and managementstrategies for these species are examined.
