چکیده
The term “hybridity” in the field of translation has undergone a revolution since postcolonial literature came to be atopic of research and discussion in translation studies and generated considerable interest in comprehending the termitself and its relation to translation. The research to date has tended to focus on translated or authored text for adultreaders who are able to deal with the difficulty of understanding hybrid elements and literate suited for young readershas been neglected to some extent. Children’s needs, desires, and understanding differ from the adults’ who are thewriters or translators of children’s literature. This review article gave a comprehensive account of hybridity intranslations and authored texts and aimed to extend the topic of hybridity to literature written or translated for youngaudiences and discussed the central distinction between authored and translated texts regarding the concept ofhybridity. The findings revealed that in today’s globalized world not only translated texts but also authored children’sliterature is hybrid and the hybridity in authored texts does indeed come from different sources. An importantimplication of this review article is that further text-based researches can be carried out in order to pinpoint furtherdifferences between the translated hybrid texts and the hybrid texts which are not the result of translation and toconsider what downsides or advantages the hybrid literature have for childrenکلیدواژه ها
