چکیده
During recent decades, a wide variety of chromogenic culture media have become commerciallyavailable, which are useful tools for clinical microbiology in medical diagnostic laboratories and researchcenters. Due to the presence of chromogenic enzyme substrates, the mentioned culture mediums cantarget and break down microbial enzymes with high specificity and then help to differentiate them due tothe creation of colonies with different colors. Therefore, it is possible to use this type of culture mediumIn the differential diagnosis of different groups of microorganisms, he used sources such as ear, skin andwound, uterus, and many other sources. Also, the need to use fast methods to detect food pathogens is feltmore than ever. Therefore, the development of the application of multiple and improved chromogenicsubstrates as one of the primary differential culture media can facilitate the differentiation of multimicrobialcultures in yeast infections or urinary tract infections. The use of these precise, sensitive, andspecific environments in the identification of pathogenic agents is considered a turning point inmicrobiology and is considered a powerful tool. Some of the pathogens identified by chromogenic culturemedia include Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Group B Streptococcus species, Clostridium difficile,Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactia, Salmonella species, Yersinia and Candida yeast.Therefore, the purpose of this review research is to evaluate the performance of the aforementionedculture media for clinical diagnosis in comparison with other normal culture media. Also, the role ofchromogenic media in the age of molecular diagnosis will be investigated.کلیدواژه ها
