چکیده

Several global issues are jeopardizing the environment and humans on Earth. Some examples are Global warming, climate change, rising energy demand, non-renewable energy sources depletion, and fossil fuels destructive impacts. On the other hand, the building and construction industry is responsible for ۴۰% of energy use, ۳۴% of greenhouse gas emissions, and associated environmental impacts. The provision of lightning, heating, cooling, and air conditioning account for the most significant proportion of energy use in buildings. Unsustainable technologies and strategies cause much energy loss in buildings. Environmentally friendly buildings can minimize the negative impacts of this sector and provide positive effects to the environment and human health. So it is a practical field for investment in order to achieve sustainable development goals. However, each type of environmentally friendly buildings could have a different use for various situations. So in order to get the most benefits, it is necessary to understand different types of them, their various potential, and each one’s unique features.
