چکیده مقاله:

Parasitic diseases (hemoprotozoan infections) annually cause significant economic losses in small ruminants, including mortality, immune system suppression, reduced growth, and decreased livestock production. In this study, blood samples were taken from ۰۸ randomly selected sheep (۲۸ males and ۶۸ females) from four traditional farms with approximately ۱۸۸۸ sheep in late spring and early summer of ۱۴۸۲. Subsequently, using the Giemsa staining method after processing, the presence of hemoprotozoa wasexamined microscopically. Among the examined ۰۸ sheep, ۵۵ were infected with Babesia sp., and ۲۵۵۵ were infected with Theileria parasites according to the obtained results. Statistical analyses showed no significant difference between gender and the observed species. The results indicated the presence of anemic hemoprotozoan infections, and host control can have a significant impact on reducing their incidence. Despite the use of acaricides and therapeutic drugs by farmers, positive samples were found in this study, raising considerations for further discussion.
