چکیده مقاله:

Microbial infections are still a major cause of death. Recent increases in microbial resistance to multiple antibiotics and uncertainty in health care costs have led to the emergence of more economical new methods for producing nanoparticles with physical, chemical effects and limited resistance .Nanoparticles are used as therapeutic agents in infections, so it is essential to understand the properties of nanoparticles and their effects on pathogenic microorganisms .In this study, ZnO Nanoparticle was synthesized using ultrasonic method and bioassayed on 12 human pathogenic bacteria by Agar well diffusion method. MIC and MBC is determined too. Antibiotic resistance pattern of bacteria was determined to 9 antibiotics: Gentamicin, Ampicillin , Nalidixic acid, Amoxicillin, Amikacin, Ciprofloxacin, Co-trimoxazole, Norfloxacin and Cephalexin. As a result, All Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria were inhibited at the low concentration of ZnO nanoparticles. The results suggest ZnO Nanoparticle have potential applications as antibacterial compounds. The antibacterial effects and mechanism of action for Nanoparticles were dependent upon composition and surface modifications.
