The main characteristic of fish of Mugilidae family from coastal area of Sevastopol (Black Sea)

The catch of mullet on the Crimean coast is 60% of the entire Black Sea. There are 5 species ofmullet in Black Sea and the golden grey mulletLiza auratais the most widespread. Three species of mullet were noticed in catches (bottom snaring) in Sevastopol watersduring 2002 - 2015, of which striped mullet and leaping mulletwerein single quantities. The significant differences in values of population parameters of golden mullet caught in different periods of research has not been found. However, the tendency of value reducing of size, mass, condition factor and increasing of hepatosomatic index, was showed for 2011 - 2015. Due to the fact that the golden grey mullet is species with high mobility, high adaptive capacity, the differences in population and morpho-physiological indices for individuals from close Sevastopol bays were not obtained. The juvenile individuals may be fish aged to 6 years, but the maximal and the middle size of them in comparing with males and females arelower. Females are larger than males, their hepato- and gonadosomatic indexes are higher also. The values of condition factor are same as well for individuals of different sexas for individuals of different age.
