The Role and Position of the European Union in Regional Convergence in the Middle East (In the era of globalization)

As a process, globalism has had an extended effects and consequences in political, economic, cultural and security areas for the countries. One of its increasing effects is related to developing evolution in the international space and blurring geographical borders and transformation in the concept of national sovereignty; so that in globalism era, considering the common policies and practices and interests of other actors have become inevitable. What is happening as an ineludible fact in the international system is a transformation from étatisme o regionalism and/ or globalism, a transformation which inevitably includes all states. This process of regional convergence in Europe is along with the philosophy of supplying the interests of all societies and nations- the states member of union and ensuring sustained peace and security, economic-social development and comfort of its nations and defensive alliance against all kinds of external attack and this is the best tangible and performed pattern so far which despite existing criticisms could be mentioned as the most successful sophisticated pattern. Middle East countries, as one of the actors in international area are influenced by globalism and regional convergence features which is considered as historical conjunction point. But a more important issue is how to communicate and interact of middle east countries with globalism ; a relation being able to supply the comprehensive regional and global interests. In this article, there is an attempt , i.e. through descriptive- analytical method and using library studies and references, to assess modeling of middle east region from Europe union as an international model with the perspective of passing from traditional mode to a modern mode.
