The present study aims to investigate the translation strategies and their frequency in the translation of Wuthering Heights by Ali Asghar Bahram Beigi. Corpus of this study includes English novel Wuthering Heights, which has been translated by the Iranian translator Ali Asghar Bahram Beigi, which was at hand to be compared with the translated one. Four chapters of the novel and forty sentences of these chapters were selected randomly to conduct the research. The collected data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The research was done based on Lörscher’s eight translation strategies. The results of the statistical analysis indicate that in the Persian translation of Wuthering Heights, all Lörscher’s eight strategies are used. It is also found that the most important strategies are estimated to be cultural substitution and loan word strategies. The findings would be useful to translators and translation studies students, and translation teachers.
