چکیده مقاله:

The MADS box is a conserved sequence motif that encodes the DNA-binding MADS domain. Rice is one of the most important food crops in the world. Rice is used more than one-third of the world s population. In silico approaches are one of the most efficient ways to determine and characterize genes relationships. In this study, analysis of 50 sequences of MADS-box genes were performed in oryza. Conserved motifs, physico-chemical characteristics and the rate of amino acid were determined. Twenty four types of elements were identified in the promoter regions of MADS-box with the G-box containing the highest number of cis elements involved in MADS-box gene family. Results showed that MADS-box genes were different for number of amino acids, molecular weight, and isoelectric point. Our results showed that the G-box plays an essential role in floral promoter activity. Study of the amino acid rate showed that total in all genes, Glutamate, Alanine, and Leucine were the most frequent residues while tryptophan had the lowest frequency thereby elicited appreciable flowering. This study is an updated survey on MADS-box gene of oryza that provides a comprehensive understanding into diversity.
