COMPARISON OF NEGATIVE SELF-EFFICACY IN DRUG ADDICTED ADOLESCENT AND NICOTINE ADDICTED ADOLESCENTS

Background and Aim : Adolescence is a sensitive period with many threatening factors And their cognitive problems can have a lot of destructive effects on their lives and their community. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to compare negative self-efficacy in drug addicted adolescent and addicted adolescents to nicotine.Methods : This descriptive and comparative study was performed on a sample of 80 people (40 addicted adolescents and 40 addicted adolescents to nicotine) by random sampling. The instrument was a self-administered questionnaire for Kendall ATQ was used which has been standard and validity and reliability are appropriate. Data were analyzed by SPSS software using Independent T-test.Results : The results showed that negative self-help thoughts of drug addicted adolescents with adolescent addicted to nicotine significantly differed. Drug addicted had a higher negative self-confidence.Conclusion : The interpretation of this result means that increasing self-efficacious negative thoughts causes more drug use in drug addicts. In order to cope with this problem, the teaching of cognitive processes in drug addicts can be a step to encourage them to leave. Also, according to That addiction to nicotine can lead to drug addiction, the teaching of cognitive processes for these individuals can also partly prevent its progress towards drugs.
