چکیده مقاله:

Global enzyme market was attracted by α Amylases due to their vast applications in starch processing, detergent, alcohol, textile, food, paper, and pharmaceutical industries. Alpha-amylases can be obtained from various natural resources such as plants, animals, and microorganisms. The dominant source of amylases production are microorganisms due to optimum growth requirements, accessibility, efficient, eco-friendly, and cost-effective as compared to other resources such as animal and plant. This study reports the purification and biochemical characterization of a novel raw starch digesting α-amylase from a newly isolated Bacillus sp.CH96 of gastrointestinal tract termite. Maximum α-amylase activity was obtained at 37 ℃ after 36 h of incubation in incubator. We examined different nitrogen sources, temperature and pH to optimize produce more starch hydrolyzing α amylases. The amylase exhibited optimal activity and maximum growth rate in microbial culture medium that contain peptone 1% as nitrogen source, pH 7 and 37.
