In the curent study, an effective catalytic methodology has been developed for the synthesis of the tri-substituted imidazoles via reaction of aldehydes, benzil and ammonium acetate by Ni@zeolite-Y (NNZ) in EtOH. The descriptive advantages of this method including the eco-friendly green catalyst, higher purity and good to excellent yield of products, very easy reaction conditions and the environmental safety of the process
