چکیده
Abstract: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer and second leading cause of cancer death in men. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), a transmembrane protein that has considerable over expression on most prostate cancer cells, used as a target molecule for imaging. Several small compounds for labeling PSMA have been developed and 68Ga-labelled PSMA being the most widely studied agent and it can provide additional molecular information on cancer localization within the prostate gland. In patients with primary prostate cancer of intermediate to high-risk, PSMA imaging has been investigated to improve detection of metastatic disease compared with CT or MRI. In addition, if there is a PSA rise on follow-up after prostatectomy accompanying other definitive treatment or even at low serum PSA values, PSMA PET-CT has been rule to detect small volume recurrent prostate carcinoma. PSMA-based imaging holds great promise to improve prostate cancer management. In patients with prostate cancer preoperative lymph node staging has great important factor in scheduling for radical prostatectomy. Current standard imaging techniques are insufficient to reliably detect lymph node metastases in prostate cancer. In patients with intermediate to high risk prostate cancer preoperative lymph node staging with 68Ga-PSMA-PET proved to be superior to standard routine imaging particularly in the recurrent prostate cancer setting. We evaluated patents during 1395-1397 who was referred with rising PSA after local and/or adjuvant treatment in order to evaluate local and distant metastasis.
