چکیده

Background: Maggot debridement therapy (MDT) is safe and useful technique in would healing in humans and animals. It is use of sterile lucilia sericata larvae( necroghagous fly) in treatment of acute and choronic wound. secretion of effective enzyme and moving larvae in over wound can accelerate wound healing. In present study Effectiveness MDT method in wound healing were studed .Objectives: purpose of this study was to investigate the MDT technique in wound healing in animals. another purpose of the study was, the introduction of the MDT technique as safe and Alternative method for wound healing in animals .Materials and Methods:. The L. sericata larvea had been reared in the Shiraz health school Insectarium of Iran , under standard conditions(12-h light/dark cycle in a relative humidity of 50–60% at 15–25°C).then strile larvae l.sericata (1and2 instar) were applied on the created BAlB/c mice skin wound.Results: The results showed that skin wounds that were treated with maggots, significantly, healed 48h post treating larvae , with compared untreated wounds.Conclusion: Medicin maggot (l.sericata larvea ) have the usefull and strong effect in wound healing in humans and animals. Maggot therapy has been introduced as successful method of wound healing in large and small animals such as: rat, mouse, bull, donkey, horse that had failed in medical treatment
