In this study, the PVDF-BaTiO3 composites were prepared by using the electrospinning process. This process provides the electric poling and also mechanical stretching required for crystallization of fibers in the polar β phase. The BaTiO3 particles were synthesized by a sol-gel method. These particles (1 wt. % BaTiO3) were added to the PVDF solution, and then the PVDF-BaTiO3 fibers were fabricated. Xraydiffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) studies indicated that the addition of BaTiO3 particles increased the amount of the beta phase compared to the monolithic fibers. According to the SEM studies, fibers in neat PVDF sample mostly has diameter of 200 to 400nm, and in PVDF with 1 wt. % BaTiO3 sample are mostly between 300-400 nm. The output piezoelectric voltage was increased from 0.34 mV to 1.26 mV upon applying 1.84 N force at 4 Hz frequency.
