چکیده
Introduction: rate, rhythm, pitch, loudness, tone, and intonation are the features that consider as prosody of speech. Any variation of these characteristic may perceived as prosodic disorder of speech. In this case report we studied prosody disorder of the twin brothers.Methods: Based on auditory-perceptual judgment we examined the prosodic features of the patients. Evaluation of the prosody was performed using a 333-mm visual analog scale. Rate, rhythm, pitch, loudness, tone, and intonation assessed by an experienced speech language pathologist. Speech therapy techniques that include increasing loudness, tone (e.g., open mouth) were performed during therapy sessions. Furthermore, auditory and visual stimulation was used to improving self-monitoring of the other prosodic features.Results: After ten therapy sessions, improvement of the all measure of interest was indicated on the visual analog scale. Generalization and maintenance was assessed by parents. Moreover, the patients performed self-assessment using equal scale.Conclusion: present study recommends a useful informal evaluation of prosody for clinical purposes.کلیدواژه ها
