خلاصه مقاله:
Simulations of large deformation problems with multi-body interactions are among the most appealing and challenging problems in geotechnical engineering. In this study, material point method as a meshless and robust numerical tool is used to model large deformation problems with cohesive-frictional interfaces. To consider multibody interactions between distinct bodies, the multi-velocity field contact methodology is introduced to material point method to model multi-body interaction between distinct bodies. Finally, the cohesive-frictional contact methodology is implemented to the Material point method via multi-velocity field. To validate the contact methodology, two numerical large deformation dynamic benchmarks are simulated. Rolling of a sphere with limited contact surface on a frictional inclined plane and sliding of a block with larger contact surface on the cohesive-frictional inclined surface are simulated. The result of material point method simulations and the closed form solution of benchmarks are in excellent agreement
