Lattice Boltzmann Simulation of Two-Phase flow By Color-Fluid Model

Lattice Boltzmann Method was used for simulation of two-phase flow in a channel using color-fluid model. This model was shown to recover the Navier–Stokes equations for two-phase flows. Color-fluid model is based on constructing a two-phase component of the collision operator that induces the appropriate surface tension term in the macroscopic equations. The main objective of present study is to assess the ability of thismethod to maintain continuity at the interface of two fluids, especially when the two fluids have different viscosities or densities. Comparison of results obtained from the present numerical simulation and those of analytical solution showed good correspondence between these two solutions.
