چکیده

Background and Objective: The lichen striatus is a rare skin condition most in children. It is a benign, self-limiting and localized blaschkolinear inflammatory illness with unknown etiology. Methods: A literature review between children population in PubMed and google scholar was done with this terms: lichenstriatus, nail lichen striatus, facial Lichen Striatus, lichenoidplaque, dermatology. Findings: Most of affected children usually were 3 to 15 years old females. Its prevalence is higher in the spring and summer according to an article that suggests a viral origin. A well-defined lichenoid pattern with inflammatory infiltrate near the dermoepidermal junction in histological view may be seen. They are usually unilateral, shiny and flattoped erythematous papules more on legs. Treatment or no treatments did not have a significant relationship with the duration of the disease. Conclusion: LS is a benign self-limited, localized blaschkolinear inflammatory disorder in children with unknown etiology. It progresses during the days and weeks. It is usually asymptomatic, but it can be accompanied by severe itching. There isn’t any specific treatment for LS. Treatment or no treatments did not have a significant relationship with the duration of the disease, self-limited course is marked by spontaneously involution in 6–12 months, with no scar formation.
