Introduction: Worldwide,eczema affects 3%–20.5% of the population.The rise in the prevalence of allergic diseases has continued in the industrialized world for more than 50years. Cinnamon is considered as a treatment for many ailments in native medicine. Until now, antimicrobial, anti-parasitic,antioxidant, hypoglycemic and beneficial cardiovascular effects have been reported for cinnamon.This study was conducted to review the effects of cinnamon on allergies. Methods:The present study was conducted as a review of the literature available in the PubMed and embase with allergy and Cinnamon and Allergen keywords for 2016-2018. In this study, the effect of cinnamon on allergies was discussed.Among the papers reviewed,there were 4RCT articles, 2case study and 1case report. Results: There is a controversy among the papers.In case studies, severe allergies have been observed, but the benefits of cinnamon have also been seen. Discussion: Many studies have been conducted to investigate the effect of cinnamon on allergies. But the sample size was low. Therefore, studies with a higher sample size, as well as studies on the relationship between the use of cinnamon, heat, duration of use and ... are recommended for the occurrence of allergies.
