Introduction: The nature of driving job due to long - term sitting in improper posture, exposure to continuous vibration and mental and physical stress that is present in the job, is that it provides for musculoskeletal disorders, burnout, and reduce health. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between general health and burnout with the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in drivers in Damghan city. Methods: In this descriptive - analytical study, which was conducted at a time interval, 100 drivers were randomly assigned to the study. Demographic information, kernel (CMDQ), general health (GHQ28) and burnout (Maslach) questionnaires were used for data collection. The relationship between independent variables such as burnout and general health on dependent variable, such as musculoskeletal disorders, using U-Mann-Whitney and Spearman correlation coefficients in SPSS-22 software were evaluated and the results were expressed. Results: The results showed that the highest musculoskeletal disorders, in the inferior portion of the back (61%), neck (46%), Left knee (44%) and Right knee (40%) respectively. The total score for general health and burnout questionnaires was (19.12 ± 8.34) and (124.2 ± 18.2) respectively. The spearman correlation coefficient indicated that there is indirect correlation between burnout (P < 0.05) and public health (P <0.05), as the burnout increases, general health decreases also, there was a significant relationship between burnout (P = 0.02) and general health (P = 0.02) with musculoskeletal disorders. U-Mann-Whitney test showed that MSDs had a significant relationship with demographic characteristics such as age, weight, level of education and marital status, and burnout with age and education level (P <0.05).Conclusion: the results of this study showed that MSDs are related to general health and burnout. Therefore, in order to minimize this problem in society, it is necessary to pay attention to the physical and mental health of drivers, in addition to the necessary interventions to prevent musculoskeletal disorders and reduce burnout.
