چکیده
Introduction: Today cesarean delivery has become a culture and more than half of the women volunteer to do cesarean section. The statistics show an 18.6% rate for cesarean section worldwide, that Asian countries with 19.2% cesarean rate of all births account in the fifth tier of the world. No significant studies have been done on the complications of cesarean section, but the long-term complications of maternal and neonatal are still discussed. in studies, increment in elective cesarean section rate and incidence of diabetes has been noted. Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases in childhood and adolescence, and Lack of early diagnosis and proper treatment during adolescence leads to many complications in adulthood. Objectives: Considering the upward trend in increasing the number of elective cesarean section in Iran and lack of proper mother s attitude about the consequences of this type of delivery for themselves and their children and the importance of paying attention to non-communicable diseases such as diabetes in current societies, the aim of this article is to review this issue. Methods: By searching for keywords such as mode of delivery, diabetes and adolescence, in authoritative databases PubMed, Springer, Elsevier and Google Scholar, 14 studies were obtained from 2007-2018 period and reviewed. Results: Among young people and adults diagnosed with diabetes in childhood and adolescence, the rate of complications among people with type 2 diabetes was much higher than those with type 1 diabetes. The findings support the early monitoring of adolescents with diabetes to prevent complications in adulthood. Conclusions: The results of this review showed that there is a small relationship between vaginal instrumental delivery and elective cesarean section with type 1 diabetes. There is a 20% increase in the risk of type 1 diabetes in childhood following maternal cesarean section, but there are no valid studies for the relation of mode of delivery and type 2 diabetes.کلیدواژه ها
